Ihan to actam lexer receipt letter of the 25th ult in closing copy of a Despatch from the Acting Governor to H.M. Secretary (accompanying certain papers in original herewith returned) in explanation of, and in connexion with Supplementary Report & Estimate No 23 of 1865 amounting to $2776.50 for work executed at the Civil Hospital.
I have the honour to state for the information of H.E. the Governor that, I have carefully examined the papers referred and am of opinion the estimate (No 23 9/65) exhibits the detail of the work that has been executed correctly and that the contractor is entitled to payment for the work performed and that the amount as fixed by Mr Milone is fair and reasonable.
